Ease into Your Day

Join Sierra for a gentle yoga class focused on stretching out tight muscles and deeply relaxing in restorative poses. In this class we will begin our movement slowly, breathing deeply. We will then move into deep, longer held stretches (standing, grounded, or a combination) with a focus on breath. These stretches will be followed by restful and restorative shapes to release tension and melt into your mat.

Join Sierra Thursdays from 9:30 - 10:30 am at The Perch!

You're invited to wear comfortable clothing you can move around in (i.e., yoga clothes, sweatpants, or other clothing you'd wear to the gym). If you have a yoga mat, you're encouraged to bring it. (We do have a few to borrow, though, if you don't have one!) You'll have the opportunity to take off your shoes, so please plan accordingly.

FAQ

What will we do during yoga class?

Sierra will teach a 60-minute accessible class that focuses on yoga that feels good in our bodies. We'll stretch, relax, become more connected with our bodies, and build physical and mental strength, all while honoring our bodies' limitations and needs. Classes are on the gentle side with an emphasis on variations that allow everyone to participate.

Contact Amy at The Perch with any questions about which yoga class might be best for you: info@theperchplace.com

Are yoga classes only for women?

No! As always, workshops, retreats, and cohorts offered by The Perch are open to all adults.

What should I bring to yoga class?

Please wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in. If you have a yoga mat, you're encouraged to bring it along, but we do have several to share if you don't have one. You'll be invited to take off your shoes, so plan accordingly. Any additional props you'll need will be provided.

What if I've never practiced yoga before?

Yoga classes at The Perch are intentionally inclusive to all. You do not need any prior experience with yoga poses. Of course, please check with your doctor to ensure this kind of physical activity is healthy for your body.

How do the punch cards work?

When you purchase the 6-class punch card, you'll receive a physical card that we will punch every time you come to class. The cards remain at The Perch for safe keeping. These allow you to attend any regular yoga class The Perch offers.

What if I register but can't make it to class?

We'll miss you! It's up to you if you want to let us know. Some students email us, and some don't. In general, we don't give refunds or credits for missed classes. If you're able to make it to another class time that week, contact us! We'll let you know if there's space for you at another time.

Will yoga classes be offered virtually?

This particular session of yoga classes is only in-person at The Perch. But you can practice at home with Amy Jackson by purchasing the Take What You Need Yoga Series or Beginner Yoga Series.
