You are constantly holding space for others. Take some time to refill your soul with this retreat created just for therapists, nurses, chaplains, counselors, social workers, and others in caring professions.

You'll love getting away to our peaceful space perched above the Fox River. The retreat is designed to help you deeply rest and refresh so you can keep doing the important work you do. Join us Saturday, May 18 for this restful and refreshing day in supportive community.

Here's our schedule for the day:

9:00-10:00 am: Gentle and Restorative Yoga to help us soothe our nervous systems

10:15-11:30 am: Self-Kindness in a Demanding World Workshop with practical teaching and hands-on activities

11:45 am-12:30 pm: Lunch break featuring delicious food that fits your dietary needs

12:30-1:30 pm: Meaningful On-Your-Own Activities including self-reflection (the most-loved time of retreat attendees!)

1:30-2:00 pm: Debriefing and Closing to send you on your way in peace


Registration will end on May 15 or earlier if it sells out.


About the Presenter

Amy Jackson is founder and director of The Perch located in Aurora, Illinois. She is the author of Unhurried: A 52-Week Meditative Bible Reading Guide and 31 Days of Self Kindness, an RYT-200 yoga teacher, and a certified Wellness and Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator. Jackson also holds an M.A. in Christian Formation and Ministry from Wheaton College. She spends time leading retreats, teaching about soul care, and helping all sorts of people discover yoga. She is passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies, give themselves kindness, and live out their calling in healthy, flourishing ways.

Is the Caring Professionals Retreat only for women?

No! As always, retreats and workshops offered by The Perch are open to all adults regardless of gender. We are an affirming space for all.

What food and snacks will be available?

I take great care in providing snacks and lunches that meet your dietary needs so you can relax and enjoy rather than worry about food. Closer to the retreat, you'll be sent a form to choose your lunch options and let me know about dietary needs.
