The perfectionist part of you deserves so much love!

Melanie Long, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will be guiding us in learning about the part of us that tends to like perfection. She'll be introducing us to a super helpful framework known as Internal Family Systems, or parts work, that helps us embrace and learn to love all the different parts of ourselves.

If you're familiar with the movies Inside Out and Inside Out 2, you can picture what Internal Family Systems looks like. We live in a world of multiplicity, and our internal world is no different. There are probably parts of you right now who are excited, maybe parts of you thinking about what you are doing tomorrow, and parts of you are worried about the state of world.

In this workshop, you'll get a helpful overview of what Internal Family Systems is all about and how it can help us heal and grow. Then we'll specifically focus on one part that shows up in many of us: the perfectionist.

You do not need any prior knowledge of this framework to enjoy this workshop. In fact, it's designed for people who haven't encountered it before.

Join us Wednesday, September 24 from 6-7:30 for this fantastic workshop!

Registration is limited to just 15 people. Save your spot now before we sell out.

This workshop is being sponsored by Evolve Family Therapy in St. Charles to keep the cost low.

About the Presenter

Melanie Long is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is level two trained in Internal Family Systems. She works as an individual and couples therapist at Evolve Family Therapist in St Charles, Illinois. Melanie has been in the mental health field for the last nine years with a range of experience from residential facilities, emergency room social worker, case management, supervisory roles, as well as individual therapy which she finds the most joy in. Internal Family Systems resonates with Melanie’s core values because this framework allows us to see people and the world through a lens of multiplicity. We are not our thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, they are just a part of us and they have a reason for existing. With this idea, we are able to compassionately hold the differences we all have both internally and externally, in the world, with more curiosity, love, and openness. Melanie looks forward to any opportunity to get to know people on a deeper level and loves to support them in learning to truly love and accept themselves.
