Join Carisa for a heart-opening flow yoga class where you'll be invited to embrace self-love. Flow through poses that open the chest and lungs and cultivate gratitude for yourself. Grab your friends and enjoy a meaningful practice together.

Join Carisa Friday, February 13 from 6-7 pm at The Perch!

You're invited to wear comfortable clothing you can move around in (i.e., yoga clothes, sweatpants, or other clothing you'd wear to the gym). If you have a yoga mat, you're encouraged to bring it. (We do have several to borrow, though, if you don't have one!) You'll have the opportunity to take off your shoes and socks, so please plan accordingly. 


About the Presenter

Carisa’s yoga journey began in college, as she sought out a way to unwind and heal her body and mind healthfully. After many years and numerous career paths, she came to realize that yoga was the constant she always turned to, and decided to take her passion to the next level by teaching others. Carisa’s background in exercise therapy and strength training keeps her focused on the body’s capabilities, and helps her to guide others mindfully past their barriers. Outside of her yoga practice, Carisa dedicates most of her time to her growing self-care business (Ursula Naturals), but makes sure to leave space for friends, family, music, and spending time in nature.

FAQ

What will we do during yoga class?

Carisa Orlicz will teach a 60-minute flow focused on opening the heart space. We'll stretch, relax, become more connected with our bodies, and build physical and mental strength, all while honoring our bodies' limitations and needs. Classes are open to a variety of skill levels, and optional variations will be given to make it more accessible.

Are yoga classes only for women?

No! As always, workshops, retreats, and cohorts offered by The Perch are open to all adults.

What should I bring to yoga class?

Please wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in. If you have a yoga mat, you're encouraged to bring it along, but we do have a few to share if you don't have one. You'll be invited to take off your shoes and socks, so plan accordingly. Any additional props you'll need will be provided. 

What if I've never practiced yoga before?

Yoga classes at The Perch are intentionally inclusive to all. You do not need any prior experience with yoga poses. This particular flow class does invite you to move smoothly through a variety of poses for the full class. If you'd like a gentler class to help you get your bearings as you begin practicing yoga, you'll love our Gentle Yoga Classes taught by Amy Jackson. Of course, please check with your doctor to ensure this kind of physical activity is healthy for your body.

What if I register but can't make it to class?

We'll miss you! It's up to you if you want to let us know. Some students email us, and some don't. In general, we don't give refunds or credits for missed classes.
