About the Presenter

Amy Jackson is founder and director of The Perch located in Aurora, Illinois. She is the author of 31 Days of Self Kindness and Unhurried: A 52-Week Meditative Bible Reading Guide, an RYT-200 yoga teacher, and a certified Wellness and Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator. Jackson also holds an M.A. in Christian Formation and Ministry from Wheaton College. She spends time leading retreats, teaching about soul care, and training church leaders. She has served on staff at several churches and is a former small-group minister. She is passionate about helping people discover their calling and live out that calling in healthy, God-honoring ways.

What will we do during yoga class?

Amy Jackson will teach a 6-15 minute yoga class focused on what you need: peace, rest, joy, etc. Classes are on the gentle side with an emphasis on variations that allow everyone to participate safely and confidently. Do a single video on its own, or string a few together to create a longer practice.

Is this yoga series only for women?

No! As always, workshops and classes offered by The Perch are open to all.

What if I've never practiced yoga before?

You're in the right place! I want to help you feel safe and confident as you practice yoga, so these practices are designed with you in mind. I'll guide you in a gentle, invitational way to find yoga poses that feel good in your body.

What supplies do I need?

You'll need a yoga mat, comfy clothes, and a chair (a kitchen chair or metal folding chair work great) to get started. Beyond that, you may want to have blankets or towels available, and having yoga blocks is also handy. I'll share ideas for finding materials around your home that will work great for our classes. I've also included recommendations for some of my favorite additional props so you can purchase your own.

How will I access the videos?

When you purchase this series, you'll be prompted to download a PDF that has instructions. You'll also receive an email with instructions. You'll get access to a password-protected page where you can watch all of the practices, find my favorite extra supplies, and also find playlists for playing while you practice. It has everything you need in one place! Videos can be streamed on a computer, phone, tablet, or even TV.

How long will I have access to the videos?
