This beginner-friendly mat Pilates class is designed to introduce the fundamentals of Pilates in a supportive and accessible way. This special pop-up class will focus on building core strength, improving posture, and enhancing overall body stability. Through a series of gentle, low-impact exercises performed on a mat, you’ll learn how to activate your core muscles, increase flexibility, and develop a stronger, more balanced body. Using breath with movement will help with the mind-body connection allowing you to get the most out of each exercise. Afterward you will feel stronger, more flexible, and connected within your body.
Perfect for those new to Pilates or looking to refine their foundational skills, this class will leave you feeling more connected to your body and empowered in your movement. Join us and discover the benefits of mat Pilates! Please note: we must have at least 6 people register for this class to take place.

What will we do during class?
Molly will lead us in a beginner-friendly mat Pilates class. This is a great way to try out Pilates if you've been curious and see what you think.
Is this workshop only for women?
No! As always, workshops, retreats, and classes offered by The Perch are open to adults of all genders.
What should I bring to class?
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in. If you have a yoga mat, you're encouraged to bring it along, but we do have several to share if you don't have one. You'll be invited to take off your shoes, so plan accordingly. Any additional props you'll need will be provided.
What if I've never practiced Pilates before?
That's perfect! This is a beginner-friendly class to introduce us to Pilates. Of course, please check with your doctor to ensure this kind of physical activity is healthy for your body.
What if I register but can't make it to the workshop?
We'll miss you! It's up to you if you want to let us know. Some students email us, and some don't. In general, we don't give refunds or credits for missed workshops.
