Rest for the Weary Retreat
April 23 │9:00 am - 12:30 pm
It's been a year, hasn't it? If you're feeling weary, you're not alone. This season has been rough—especially on pastors and ministry leaders. Let us help by providing a morning where all you have to do is show up. We'll focus on God's invitation to rest, and we'll participate in practices to help us find rest for our weary souls. Take time away to reflect and recharge so you can best care for the people in your ministry.
The morning is designed to refresh and encourage clergy, pastors, chaplains, and ministry leaders with teaching and experiential activities to help you connect with God. Come alone or invite a teammate. This event is open to people in any ministry role.
Join us in one of two ways:
In Person at The Perch
Join us at The Perch in Aurora, IL (31 W Downer Pl, Suite 301). At The Perch, we are committed to your holistic health, so we commit to following all local and state guidelines to minimize the transmission of COVID-19. This event is limited to 12 people in person so we will have plenty of space to physically distance from one another. Masks will be required the entire time. The Perch will provide enough materials so that they won't be shared by participants. Hand sanitizer will be made available throughout the event, as well as soap and water in the restrooms. If you are sick, displaying symptoms, or have been in contact with a COVID-positive individual in the past 10 days, we ask that you stay home. Doors open at 8:45 am to allow time to get settled in before we begin.
Join us live through Zoom from wherever you are! Join us for live teaching and experiential practices. You'll also receive a digital version of any handouts we'll be using during the day. The morning is designed to help you rest and refresh and will include teaching, experiential practices, on-your-own activities, and group processing. This means we won't be streaming live teaching the entire 3 hours to give you some time to connect with God on your own using the on-your-own activities. You'll join us on Zoom at 9:15 am CST and then, after a break, you'll use the same link to log back in at 12:00 pm CST for our group processing and final benediction.
