Reflect & Reset Retreat
July 25 │9:00 am - 2:00 pm
After four months of staying home, what might God want our new normal to look like?
This unprecedented season has revealed so much about ourselves, our relationships, and our schedules. And yet, many of us are still trying to make sense of it all:
- Why did all this time at home leave me exhausted? Or, why am I more energized after all that time alone?
- How has having less scheduled plans affected me? And do I want to continue doing less?
- There are things I'm seeing about myself for the first time. What do I do now?
- This time has left me eager to feel more grounded, but how do I do that?
This retreat is designed to help you unpack the past several months, reflect on the lessons God might be inviting you to learn, and make a plan for personal growth and boundaries as we move into this new normal. We'll use a variety of activities to help us do this, including artistic activities, prayer practices, journaling, and more.
Included with your ticket is a guided journal to use at the retreat and as you head home to help you unpack this unprecedented time.
This retreat is open to men and women and will include lunch from Jimmy John's, teaching, experiential activities, group discussion, silent reflection, and more. It will be held at The Perch in Aurora, IL (31 W Downer Place, Suite 301).
**We work hard to honor various dietary needs. Please use the drop down menu to let us know your sandwich order for lunch. If you have other dietary needs not covered, please choose "Other dietary needs" and then specify your needs at checkout in the notes box.
Doors open at 8:30 am, and participants may arrive anytime 8:30-9:00 am. You are encouraged to bring coffee or tea if you'd like it. The Perch will provide lunch as well as light refreshments throughout the day.
Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, space is limited for this retreat so participants can maintain appropriate physical distancing. All participants will wear a face covering unless they are seated at their table. The Perch will take additional cleaning and safety precautions, as well as provide hand sanitizer. And, of course, if you're feeling ill, please stay home.
