Let's make meditation work for you.

Meditation is the practice of quieting our hearts and minds to focus our attention on one thing. Regular meditation has been shown to help people feel more calm, peaceful, and grounded, and the Mayo Clinic has stated that meditation can benefit mental and emotional well-being, inspire creativity, increase patience, and reduce stress.

But let's get real: meditation—at least how we picture it in our minds—doesn't fit into our daily lives. I don't have an hour of quiet every day to meditate. Even if I did, I'd struggle to focus on the moment rather than all the things I feel like I "should" be doing with that time. I'm guessing it's the same for you.

Here's the good news: Meditation doesn't have to be done cross-legged on a mountaintop at sunset to be effective. This workshop is designed to help you see what real life meditation can look like in YOUR life. I'll make it easy to get started and show you how to carve out time for it in your busy schedule.

With different ideas of how to meditate, guided meditations, and simple tips, plus a workbook and access to exclusive guided meditations from Amy Jackson, you'll find that you have everything you need to jump in and get started, right in the middle of your real life. We'll discover how to use our breath, body, inspirational texts, and creativity to meditate, and I'll guide you every step of the way!

Join me Sunday, October 16 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm CDT either at The Perch or virtually through Zoom!

When you register, you'll get:

  • Engaging teaching on how to meditate
  • Real life examples of fitting meditation into your busy schedule
  • Simple ideas for getting started with meditation
  • Realistic ideas for days when meditation feels hard
  • Out-of-the-box ideas that don't involve simply sitting with your eyes closed
  • Guidance for making meditation a regular part of your life
  • Tips for things to do before you meditate so you can actually focus
  • Workbook with ideas, meditation prompts, and other resources
  • 6 Months Access to 7 exclusive guided meditations just for those who attend

All materials will be provided for this workshop, including a workbook (printed for in-person guests and PDF for those joining us through Zoom).

This workshop is open to all adults. People of faith, of no faith, and everywhere in between are welcome. For transparency, Amy Jackson will share some examples of meditating with Scripture, and you are encouraged to take what’s helpful and leave the rest.

If you're looking for a mental break, meditation is a beautiful practice you'll love. I can't wait to show you how to make meditation part of your daily life. Register today!
