Empty & Fill Retreat 2022

Empty & Fill Retreat 2022

Regular price $99.00 Sale

Set down 2021 and move forward with intention.

This is the event that started it all for The Perch, and it's back to help us kick off a new year—one that many of us are hopeful will be different than the last two.

Start the new year with intentionality by reflecting on 2021, embracing new lessons learned, and emptying yourself of the things you need to let go of. Then turn toward a new year of hope and possibility by spending time hearing from God, filling yourself with God's truth, and making practical, doable goals for your life. You'll leave relaxed, refreshed, and with renewed vision for the new year.

The Empty & Fill Retreat will take place Saturday, January 8 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at The Perch in Aurora, IL. You'll get:

  • Practical teaching from Amy Jackson, director of The Perch
  • Numerous activities to help you reflect on 2021 and set intentions for 2022
  • Focused time for setting your intentions for the year
  • Space and time to hear from God
  • A peaceful, refreshing environment that invites reflection
  • Contemplative activities to help you connect with God in life-giving ways
  • A workbook with activities, journaling prompts, and more
  • Ability to connect with like-minded people
  • An optional Rest & Recharge yoga class at the end of the retreat
  • The opportunity to meet one-on-one with Amy Jackson during the retreat when you add on a Soul Care Session
  • Beverages, snacks, and a box lunch (we're happy to honor your dietary needs!)

Masks are required for all participants, regardless of vaccination status.

She is passionate about helping people discover their calling and live out that calling in healthy, God-honoring ways.

The retreat will begin at 9:00 am, and you can arrive between 8:30 and 9:00. We'll conclude our day at 3:00 pm. There will be an optional Rest & Recharge Yoga session from 3:30-4:15 pm that you're welcome to stay for! Soul Care Sessions will be scheduled throughout the day if you choose to register for one.

      Rest & Recharge Yoga Session

Retreat attendees will have the option to stay after the retreat for a 45-minute gentle, restful yoga class designed to help you calm and rest your body. From 3:30-4:15 pm, you'll be invited into gentle, simple poses that will help your mind, body, and soul rest and recharge. You do not need to wear specific yoga clothes for this session, but comfortable clothing you can move freely in is highly suggested (i.e., sweat pants, leggings, or other stretchy, comfortable clothing). You can wear this clothing all day, or bring something to change into. You'll also be invited to take off your shoes, so you may want to bring socks if you want to cover your feet. No prior experience with yoga is necessary. The session is perfect for beginners.

      Soul Care Sessions

Retreat attendees can sign up for an optional 30-minute one-on-one session with Amy Jackson, founder and director of The Perch. When you choose this option, you'll get an appointment time during the retreat on January 8 to meet with Amy to discuss your personal soul care. Once you register, Amy will reach out to schedule your appointment time. This is a great time to talk with Amy about setting up soul care rhythms in your life, troubleshoot soul care issues you’re facing, or ask questions related to soul care. This optional Soul Care Session costs an additional $45 (regularly $60!). Soul Care Session appointments are very limited. If you'd like one, please register early to ensure you get one!
