Cultivate inner stillness in a world that never seems to slow down.
The past year has revealed our unhealthy relationship with busyness. Pandemic living has given us space to notice not only our hurried schedules but also that anxious, hurried feeling that never seems to leave our hearts and minds. As the weather warms and more people are vaccinated, it's inevitable that our lives will get busier and feel more and more hurried. What can we do to cultivate an unhurried relationship with God so that we remain grounded and present even as our lives start moving faster? The Unhurried Retreat will create space for us to explore what an unhurried life can offer us and how to cultivate unhurried time to connect with God on a regular basis.
Join Us Live on May 1
On May 1, we’ll gather virtually through a private Facebook group for both live and on-your-own activities that will help you explore unhurried rhythms of living that will allow you to slow down, be present in the moment, and connect with God every day.

When you register by April 20, you'll receive printed retreat materials along with several extra goodies to enjoy!

Is this retreat only for women?
No! As always, retreats offered by The Perch are open to all adults.
What is the schedule for the retreat?
The retreat is scheduled for Saturday, May 1. In a perfect world where we’d be gathering in-person, we’d begin at 8:30 am and end at 4:00 pm, so we’ll provide plenty for you to do as if you were attending live for that entire timeframe. But we know that retreating while at home will (and should) look a little different, so the retreat is designed to be flexible and work with your schedule. The on-your-own retreat materials will give you activities, practices, and reflection questions that you can take as much time with as you’d like, and you can do them whenever it makes sense for you. The Live Sessions at 10 am CST and 2 pm CST will complement the on-your-own activities in the retreat materials.
Will I be able to watch the Live Sessions afterward?
Yes! If you can’t join us live, the videos will be saved in the private Facebook group. You’ll be able to access everything in the Facebook group through the end of May.
How will I be added to the Private Facebook Group?
You'll be invited to join our Private Facebook Group on April 24. Don’t worry—we’ll send you reminder emails to make sure you join the group before our retreat on May 1.
Do I have to use Facebook to attend?
The only way you can attend the retreat live and interact with other attendees is through Facebook. If you don’t use Facebook, however, you can still attend the retreat. We’ll send you the Retreat Materials ahead of time, and we’ll send you a link to the recorded live sessions afterward. They will be available for you until the end of May. If you don’t have Facebook, please let us know in the notes when you register so that we can properly accommodate you.
How do the Soul Care Sessions work?
Attendees of the Unhurried Retreat have the option of adding on a personal Soul Care Session for an additional $30 (a $45 value). This 30-minute one-on-one appointment with Amy Jackson will be over Zoom. When you register with this option, you’ll be sent an email with instructions on choosing your appointment time. Appointments are available on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2. Once your appointment time is confirmed, you’ll be sent information about logging in for your Soul Care Session.
When will I get my retreat materials?
When you register by April 20, you'll get printed Retreat Materials mailed to you, as well as a few extra goodies. You will also have access to a digital version of the Retreat Materials. Your materials will be sent to you approximately one week before the retreat. You will receive an email with tracking information when your materials are shipped.
Anyone who registers after April 20 will only receive a digital version of the Retreat Materials.
I already have the book Unhurried. Will this be repeat information?
Great question! The Unhurried Retreat certainly has the same theme as the book, but I'll be using new teaching and different activities from what's in the book. If you are enjoying the book, you'll love the retreat because it complements what you're doing in the book.
I don't have the book Unhurried. Do I have to buy it to enjoy this retreat?
Nope! The retreat will give you a taste of the themes in the book and an idea of some of the kinds of practices that are in the book. If you enjoy the retreat, you'll love the book! You can buy your own copy here.
I have additional questions. How can I contact you?
If you have questions about the retreat or the Soul Care Sessions, don’t hesitate to reach out! Email Amy at email@example.com
